About the Tippecanoe Community Band

The Tippecanoe Community Band enjoys performing throughout the year at various festivals, parades, and community activities. These include the Troy Strawberry Festival Parade, the Tipp City Mum Festival, Tippecanoe Downtown Family Night ceremonies, and concerts each summer in the Troy City Park, the cities of Vandalia and Miamisburg. The band also performs at senior citizen centers, retirement villages and nursing homes.

During the summer season, our audiences can expect to hear a wide variety of musical selections including marches, swing tunes, and a variety of entertaining medleys. The band also delights many with their favorite holiday music during the Christmas season.

The band is under the direction of Gail Ahmed. Members range in age from 15 to 90 and live all around the Miami Valley, representing Miami, Shelby, Montgomery, Preble, Greene, and Clark, counties.
